Pascal Botteron, CEO
Pascal Botteron has led teams in alternatives, risk management, portfolio management and impact investing for the last 20 years. He has worked 13 years at Deutsche Bank in several global roles based in the UK and Switzerland as Global Head of Alternative Investments and long-only in Wealth Management (including managers research & due diligence, product development, and fund of funds management); Global Head of Alternatives Distribution in Asset Management (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure & impact investing); and Global Head of Product Marketing and Digital Transition in Wealth Management.
Pascal Botteron has also worked at Bank J. Safra Sarasin and Pictet & Cie in Product Development and Business Development roles, KPMG, Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young in Risk Consulting roles.
Pascal Botteron has been a Professor and Lecturer at the University of Lausanne, the Swiss banking School, Thunderbird, the University of Zurich and HEC Paris, lecturing on derivatives, risks and asset valuation. He holds a PhD in Finance, a Master of Science in Economics and a License in Economics from the University of Lausanne.
Isabelle Djian, COO, Head of Trading
Isabelle Djian has worked in the financial industry for the last 20 years, starting with JP Morgan. She traded government bonds and equity derivatives before joining a hedge fund, where she built quantitative investment and trading models. Isabelle Djian then joined a fund of hedge funds where she was part of the investment committee, overseeing due diligence and selecting managers. In 2003 she joined Winton Capital Management as part of their new business development initiative. Isabelle witnessed the growth of assets from a few hundred million dollars to a multi-billion dollar institutional entity.
In 2005 Isabelle Djian moved from London to Geneva and created Mistral Advisors SA, a FINMA regulated distributor, to cover Winton's Swiss, French, and Benelux markets. In late 2018, she co-founded Green Blue Invest with a strong belief that finance has the capacity and responsibility to contribute to positive outcomes for society. As COO, Isabelle Djian currently oversees all operations, contract negotiation, fund structuring and trading.
Isabelle Djian holds a master's degree in econometrics from La Sorbonne University and a post-graduate degree in international finance from HEC business school in Paris. As part of the Erasmus Program, she earned an additional master's degree in econometrics from the University of Amsterdam. She is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and has a diploma from the Non-Executive Directorship (NED) program run by the Financial Times in London.
Julien Dif, Head of Legal and Compliance
For more than 20 years, Julien Dif has been a practising lawyer in collective investment schemes in Switzerland, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates. His work covers all aspects of fund setup and distribution, thereby ensuring compliance with the requirements of legislators and regulatory agencies. In addition, Julien regularly advises on estate planning, trusts and foundations. He also acts for large banking institutions and trust companies on a variety of tax law issues.
Admitted to the bar in Geneva and Luxembourg, Julien holds degrees in International Law (LL.M., University of Nice), English Law (LL.B., King’s College, London), and French Law (Sorbonne University, Paris). He also earned the Swiss Advanced Certificate in Trust Management (Geneva) and a Postgraduate Degree in International Finance (Paris). He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Head of Marketing and Communication, Director of Business Development
Nataliya Shybanova has 8 years of experience in client relationship management and structured products at Vontobel Investment Banking and UBS Wealth Management covering corporate and UHNW clients in Zurich. She covered Swiss institutional clients of the open architecture platform deritrade® Multi Issuer Platform for structured products, ran PR and external communication and managed marketing projects and events within B2B operational client segment. Nataliya Shybanova has experience in client acquisition and sales generation of derivatives in international markets (Switzerland, Europe and APAC). She as well covered UHNW private clients, SPVs and Foundations for Russian and Ukrainian needs.
Nataliya Shybanova holds an MBA and Masters degree in finance from Hult International Business School in San Francisco and Boston, Bachelor in Public Relations and Communication, University of Zurich. Her passion is to blend sustainable innovation within finance to move the industry forward and keep it relevant for the new generation of investors. Nataliya Shybanova brought luminaries to graduate student audiences through regular virtual Fireside Chat events with senior leaders and entrepreneurs from Industrial IoT, FinTech, Blockchain, Alternative investments, Platform Services, e-commerce, Clean Beauty etc. She was responsible for strategic partnerships, speaker acquisition, event execution, and moderation for events.
Pierre-Edouard Coiffard has over 20 years of experience in asset management with 360-degree competencies, including investment management, business development, product development (design of bespoke end-to-end investment solutions), operations and compliance. More specifically, he has an extensive background in portfolio management, sourcing, analyzing and monitoring managers and strategies, across all styles and asset classes, including liquid systems (long-only and hedge funds) to less liquid methods (private equity/debt, infrastructure, physical assets). Pierre-Edouard Coiffard now works as an investment consultant and partners with best-in-class investment managers/advisors specializing in sustainable development, ESG and impact investing.
Pierre-Edouard Coiffard previously worked as Managing Director at Laven Partners and was Head of Research and CIO at Olympia Capital Management, Integrated Asset Management and Altigefi. Before moving into hedge funds, he was a consultant in the Finance Department at Deloitte Touche & Tohmatsu.
Pierre-Edouard Coiffard holds an MBA from ESSEC and is a graduate engineer from Ecole Centrale de Marseille.
Head of Business Development
Nicolas joined Green Blue Invest (GBI) SA in April 2022. For the last 9 years, he was Director of Business Development for Elbrus Capital Management SA, an investment firm focusing on equity investments in Emerging Eastern Europe. Nicolas has more than 30 years of experience in the investment, asset management and financial services sector. From 2011 to 2012, Nicolas was Head of the Family Office Group of the SphereInvest Group in Geneva. From 2006 to 2011, he was a partner and co-CIO of Lemantrust SA, a Swiss multi-family office platform. From 2004 to 2006, he was Head of Alternative Investments for Banque Degroof (Suisse) SA. From 1998 to 2003, Nicolas was a co-founder and Head of Business Development at Agora Capital Management Ltd., a Geneva-based institutional fund of hedge funds. From 1993 to 1998, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and, prior to its acquisition by Goldman Sachs in 1997, of Commodities Corporation. From 1989 to 1992 he worked at Bearbull (Suisse) SA in Geneva, and in New York. Nicolas started his career in 1988 as an external auditor for Coopers & Lybrand in Geneva.
He is a Swiss citizen and holds a Licence in Sciences Economiques et Sociales from the University of Geneva. Nicolas is fluent in French, Italian and English and has a good conversational knowledge of both German and Russian.
